COMPOSITION

Principal Teacher: Michael Bonner

“Sola” (2018) This latin/hip-hop fusion song was created at the summer high school program at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in 2018. I served as the main producer and also the-co writer of the lyrics. The song emphasizes independence and is meant to encourage one to be self reliant in the context of working towards being a star in the music industry.

“The Beauty in the Struggle” (2016) This lyrical hip-hop piece is autobiographical. It details my personal struggles with adoption, death of my adoptive father, and Cambodian history. I use live instrumentation to support my narrative as well as create an epic journey for the listener.

“Atmosphere” (2017) A sample based cinematic hip-hop song.
“A Battle Awaits” (2015) Dramatic symphonic film score with classical instrumentation. Premiering at CRLS (fall 2018)
